9 Best Shopping Malls in Barcelona
Find all the best shopping centres in the city.

Barcelona is one of the best shopping cities in Europe, so when visiting, you should consider visiting one of the many malls. These malls offer everything from budget-friendly stores to luxury brands. In the evening, after a day of shopping, you can also visit one of the many restaurants to try some great food.
There are many malls to choose from, and some are quite different from others. That's why we've compiled a list of all our favourites, from malls perfect for going to with your kids to malls perfect for a fun date.
In this article:
1. Las Arenas de Barcelona
📍Location: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 373-385
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 09:00 - 22:00
From the outside, you wouldn’t guess this was a shopping mall; it used to be a bullfighting arena until 1977. In 2011, it reopened as Las Arenas, and now there are over 100 stores, including Calzedonia, Desigual, Barça Store, and Mango.
What I really like here is the rooftop. You’ll find restaurants like La Tagliatella, Tapa Gaudí, and Udon, all with views over Plaça d’Espanya. It’s also super central, so it’s easy to swing by even if you’re short on time.

2. Diagonal Mar
📍Location: Avenida Diagonal, 3
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 21:00 (Mainly for stores)
Diagonal Mar is one of the biggest malls in Barcelona and has a bit of everything. You’ll find popular clothing stores like Primark, Zara, Lefties, and Bershka, plus fun spots like Flying Tiger, Decathlon, and even a huge supermarket (Al Campo).
It’s also a great place to go with kids or for a casual date. There’s a cinema that shows some movies in English, and a big arcade if you’re in the mood to play.
I usually end up staying longer than I planned here. There are just so many spots to eat: both fast food and proper restaurants. Perfect for when you need a break (or an excuse for dessert).

3. Maremagnum
📍Location: Moll d'Espanya, 5
🕓 Hours: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 21:00
Maremagnum is set right by the water in Port Vell. It's one of the most unique mall locations in the city. It’s also the only mall in Barcelona that stays open every single day of the year, including Sundays and holidays.
You’ll find a mix of stores inside, selling everything from clothes and shoes to homeware, toys, and accessories. There are also plenty of places to eat, both inside and out. I once had lunch at Tapa Tapa on the terrace, and it was such a nice break, quiet view of the water, and not too crowded.
After shopping, it’s easy to keep the day going. The aquarium, the Columbus Monument, and the Golondrinas boats are all just a few steps away.

4. Westfield La Maquinista
📍Location: Carrer de Potosí, 2
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 09:00 - 21:00
This mall is a bit outside the city center, but totally worth the trip. It’s the biggest mall in all of Catalonia and probably the most complete one in Barcelona, perfect for shopping, grabbing food, or just spending a chill afternoon.
There are over 150 stores, including big names like Apple, Urban Outfitters, Hollister, and Crocs, spread across spacious, open-air walkways that feel more like a shopping village than a typical mall.
One of my favorite parts is the top floor. It has over 50 restaurants, including well-known chains, local favorites, and some nicer spots if you’re in the mood for a proper meal. Honestly, it’s a great place to end the day. I always end up finding something new to try.

5. El Corte Inglés
📍Location: Pl. de Catalunya, 14
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:30 to 21:30
El Corte Inglés is a classic. It’s one of the biggest department store chains in the world, and the one at Plaça de Catalunya is huge, right in the middle of everything.
Each floor is focused on something different, so it’s easy to move between fashion, electronics, home goods, and more without it feeling chaotic. Are you in for everyday basics? Or do you want to shop for luxury brands like Chanel and Ralph Lauren? They've got you!
I’ve stopped by here a few times just to pick up small things like sunscreen, adapters, even snacks, and always ended up staying longer than planned. It’s that kind of place.

6. Gran Via 2
📍Location: Avinguda de la Granvia, 75
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 22:00; Sunday from 10:00 to 21:00
Gran Via 2 is located in Hospitalet, just outside the city center, and it’s a solid option if you want lots of variety without the crowds.
There are over 200 stores here, from big names like Zara, H&M, and Sephora to smaller local spots. It’s also a good place if you’re after practical things, beauty, electronics, or even home goods.
I ended up here once on a rainy day, and it was actually a great call: plenty of space, a cinema, and an arcade if you feel like doing something other than shopping. It’s a bit more relaxed than the city’s central malls, which makes it nice if you want a slower pace.

7. El Triangle
📍Location: Plaza de Catalunya, 1-4
🕓 Hours: Monday to Sunday from 9:30 to 21:00
Right on Plaça de Catalunya, El Triangle is a small but convenient mall that’s great for quick shopping or picking up souvenirs. It’s open every day, and while it’s not huge, it packs in a good mix of stores.
You’ll find brands like Clarks and Lacoste, along with shops for accessories, perfumes, and tech. There’s even a solid electronics section if you're into gadgets.
I usually stop here when I need something fast, it’s central, easy to get in and out of, and there's always time for a quick Amorino ice cream before heading off again.

8. L’Illa Diagonal
📍Location: Avinguda Diagonal, 557
🕓 Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00
L’Illa Diagonal is a modern, stylish mall located in Les Corts. It’s sleek, easy to walk around, and has over 170 stores to explore, ranging from fast fashion to high-end designer brands.
There’s also a cinema, a fitness center, and plenty of dining options if you feel like making a full day out of it. I’ve come here a few times just to browse and ended up staying for lunch without even planning to.
It’s super accessible by metro, bus, or taxi, and there’s lots of parking too. A solid pick whether you’re just passing through or planning a longer visit.

9. La Roca Village
📍Location: 08430 Santa Agnès de Malanyanes
🕓 Hours: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 21:00
If you're after designer brands at better prices, La Roca Village is the place to go. It’s an outlet-style, open-air mall with around 140 boutiques, offering up to 60% off brands like Armani, Michael Kors, and more.
It’s just outside the city, so it’s a bit of a trip. But that also means it’s calmer and less hectic than shopping in central Barcelona. The setup looks like a Catalan village, which makes walking around pretty pleasant, especially on a sunny day.
I’ve been on days when they had live music or little art pop-ups, which made it feel more like an event than just shopping. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into fashion deals.
