Does Casa Batlló Light Up at Night?

Yes, Casa Batlló lights up every night. As soon as it gets dark, the building is illuminated from the outside, and the lighting brings out all the colors, textures, and details on the façade. The balconies, mosaics, and curved shapes designed by Gaudí become even more noticeable with the glow. It’s one of the reasons many people stop by in the evening just to see how different it looks compared to the daytime.
During the Christmas season, Casa Batlló adds special lighting effects. From the end of November until early January, the façade features changing colors and festive themes. These lights usually turn on around 6:30 PM and stay on until about 9:30 PM. Some nights even include projection shows with music and visuals on the building itself.

If you get an evening ticket, like the Winter Night or Magical Nights visit, you can see the lights up close and also enjoy other extras. These include a glass of cava, access to less crowded areas, rooftop views, and live music depending on the ticket.
Even if you don’t go inside, just standing in front of the building at night is worth it. The lighting transforms the entire look of Casa Batlló, and it’s one of the best times to take photos.
